How To Make a "LADIES CHARM BRACELET WATCH"

"I'll Be Charmed Watch"

(using a double loop quartz watch face)


Recently it has been mentioned that I should create Blogs on "HOW TO" using these fabulous "Silver Quartz Watch Faces" that are so easy to work with. Not only that, this design will add another dimension to your repertoire as well as make for a unique item for any shop to sell or offer as a gift giving idea.

ITEMS YOU"LL NEED:
What you will need besides your (1)-Watch Face is a variety of (2)-charms and (3) beads for the bling, bling then something to add them to, say, (4) two pieces of a larger cable chain link 6mm + will do, as well as a few (5) sturdy 4-6mm open jumprings 18 to 20 gauge so you can attach the charms to the chain easily and each side of the chain to the watch ( if using a double loop), (6) needle nose pliers and or (7) flat nose pliers (I use both for opening the jumprings and closing them), (8) cutting pliers to size your chain if needed as well as your favorite choice of a neat (9) toggle or easy closure finding and lastly a couple of twist ties.


Now lets get started!

1. First add the chain to each side of the watch loops using the open jumprings and close the jumprings neatly. DO NOT SIZE YET! Eye it then mark the links you think you'll be adding the toggle or closure finding to with a twist tie.


2. Now starting with your charms and/or beads lay out a design onto your workplace and simply start to add the charm design to the jumpring attached to the watch loops first, providing each charm with it's own open jumpring and working along one side of the chain link towads the twist tie. Make sure that all charms will hang facing upward when wrist is in a downward position.

NOTE: You may chose to add charms to both sides of the cable link chain or only to one side or perhaps alternate charms with beads, JUST HAVE FUN!


3. Place it on your wrist to see that charms are hanging properly and for a size check. Remember to leave room enough for the toggle bar to go through the toggle easily for a secure closure.


4. Now mark that link using the twist ties, DO NOT TRIM THE CHAIN LINK YET!

Once you are satisfied that all is well and you have the correct size marked, add your toggle to the open jump ring and the marked link then close securely. Do the same for the toggle bar on the other end.


5. Finally, you get to try it on for the correct fit and ease of closure, if you haven't been cheating, lol. If this is to your liking and everything has been secured, then trim off the excess chain links and you are good to go!


Wasn't that fun?
